Summary: A discussion of the factors involved in the original project failure, an update of the current state of efforts and required actions to restore it to a national success story and template for the future.
About the Speaker: Jim Little has more than 40 years of leadership experience at companies including Westinghouse Electric Corporation, Washington Group International, and URS Corporation, where he has a proven record of success in business growth and performance in the domestic and international nuclear markets. Mr. Little serves as the industry representative on the Governor of South Carolina's Nuclear Advisory Committee, which oversees items of interest involving nuclear issues and developments. Little is also a founding advisory board member and adjunct professor for the University of North Carolina Charlotte's Energy Production Infrastructure Center (EPIC) which was established to develop talent for the growing energy industry. He is a member of the board of directors of E4 Carolinas, an industry trade association serving the Carolinas energy industry where he also leads the Carolinas Nuclear Cluster, comprised of over 50 companies with 25,000 employees.
Little earned a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mechanics from the University of Rhode Island and a Master's degree in Nuclear Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
